TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays have activated first baseman Adam Lind from the 15-day disabled list. The Jays have optioned pitcher Chad Jenkins to triple-A Buffalo. Lind last played with the Jays on April 15 in Minnesota before experiencing tightness in his lower back. The 30 year-old was hitting .324 at the time of his injury with one home run and six RBI in 13 games. In four rehab games with Dunedin, the left-handed hitter went 4-14 with two doubles and two walks. Lind owns a career .269 average with 141 home runs and 485 RBI in 870 games over nine Major League seasons. The 26-year-old Jenkins has played in three games this season with Toronto, allowing three runs in three innings.
